Sobre a picada: <\/strong>S\u00f3 as f\u00eameas picam, pois necessitam de prote\u00ednas do sangue para o desenvolvimento dos ovos. Utilizam uma estrutura chamada prob\u00f3scide para perfurar a pele e extrair sangue.<\/p>\n

Sobre o ciclo de vida:<\/strong> Os mosquitos passam por quatro fases: ovo, larva, pupa e adulto. Os tr\u00eas primeiros ocorrem na \u00e1gua, tornando a \u00e1gua estagnada ideal para a reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Sobre a transmiss\u00e3o de doen\u00e7a:<\/strong> Alguns mosquitos atuam como vetores de doen\u00e7as, transmitindo agentes patog\u00e9nicos, como v\u00edrus ou parasitas, ao picar uma pessoa ou animal infetado e, de seguida, outro hospedeiro.<\/p>\n

Sobre os h\u00e1bitos alimentare<\/span>:<\/strong> Os machos n\u00e3o picam; alimentam-se de n\u00e9ctar e outros l\u00edquidos doces. As f\u00eameas, para al\u00e9m de sangue, tamb\u00e9m consomem n\u00e9ctar.<\/p>\n

A Mal\u00e1ria \u00e9 uma infe\u00e7\u00e3o febril aguda cujos primeiros sintomas, como febre, dor de cabe\u00e7a e arrepios, podem ser ligeiros e dif\u00edceis de reconhecer como mal\u00e1ria.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Em pessoas sem imunidade pr\u00e9via, estes sinais surgem geralmente 10 a 15 dias ap\u00f3s a picada de um mosquito infetado. Se o tratamento n\u00e3o for administrado no prazo de 24 horas, a infe\u00e7\u00e3o por Plasmodium falciparum pode progredir para uma doen\u00e7a grave e com risco de morte.<\/span><\/p>\n

A maioria das pessoas infetadas pelo v\u00edrus Zika n\u00e3o apresenta sintomas e, quando estes surgem, s\u00e3o geralmente ligeiros<\/strong><\/p>\n

O per\u00edodo de incuba\u00e7\u00e3o varia entre 3 a 14 dias, sendo que os sintomas mais comuns incluem febre, erup\u00e7\u00e3o cut\u00e2nea, conjuntivite, dores musculares e articulares, mal-estar e dor de cabe\u00e7a, com uma dura\u00e7\u00e3o de 2 a 7 dias.<\/p>\n

Em alguns casos, a infe\u00e7\u00e3o pode levar a complica\u00e7\u00f5es neurol\u00f3gicas, como defeitos de desenvolvimento e s\u00edndrome de Guillain-Barr\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Para minimizar a exposi\u00e7\u00e3o, recomenda-se o uso de roupas claras que cubram a maior parte do corpo, usar barreiras f\u00edsicas como redes mosquiteiras, manter as portas e janelas fechadas e aplicar repelente com DEET, IR3535 ou Icaridina seguindo as instru\u00e7\u00f5es do fabricante. Sempre que poss\u00edvel, as gr\u00e1vidas devem evitar viajar para zonas com surtos ativos de Zika, uma vez que a infe\u00e7\u00e3o pode representar um risco para o feto em desenvolvimento.<\/p>\n

Estes mosquitos adquirem o v\u00edrus ao alimentarem-se de aves infetadas e, uma vez infetadas, podem transmiti-lo ao longo da vida, afetando humanos, cavalos e outros mam\u00edferos.<\/p>\n

Este v\u00edrus \u00e9 comum em regi\u00f5es como \u00c1frica, Europa, M\u00e9dio Oriente, Am\u00e9rica do Norte e \u00c1sia Ocidental. Pode causar problemas graves no sistema nervoso, potencialmente fatais em alguns casos.<\/p>\n

Aplicar repelente com DEET na pele exposta ajuda a refor\u00e7ar a prote\u00e7\u00e3o. Instalar redes nas portas e janelas \u00e9 essencial para impedir a entrada de mosquitos. \u00c9 tamb\u00e9m aconselh\u00e1vel limitar as atividades ao ar livre durante as horas de pico de atividade dos mosquitos, especialmente durante o dia e ao entardecer.<\/p>\n

A n\u00edvel comunit\u00e1rio, eliminar os locais de reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o de mosquitos em \u00e1reas residenciais \u00e9 fundamental para reduzir a prolifera\u00e7\u00e3o de mosquitos e minimizar o risco de transmiss\u00e3o.<\/p>\n
